Who killed Akhmad Kadyrov?
The majority of those who analyzed the recent terrorist act which killed Chechen President Akmad Kadyrov have neglected to answer the most important question: where was Ramzan Kadyrov who was supposed to be in charge of the security for his father when the tragedy of May 9th took place? How is it that, only three hours after the terrorist act, Ramzan Kadyrov appeared in blue running gear in the Kremlin, as a guest of President Putin?

Once we answer these questions, we will be closer to knowing who was responsible for the terrorist act of May 9 at the stadium “Dynamo” in Grozny.

Ramzan Kadyrov was not in Chechnya on May 9th or on the preceding days. Rather, he was busy recovering from a wound to his leg in a Moscow hospital. He received this wound after fighting with his intimate friend Sulim Yamadaev, who after their fight became his “intimate” enemy. Details concerning this event along with commentary can be found on the website of “Kavkas Vestnik.”

Based on this information and the commentary, the conflict between the pro-Moscow Chechen FSB and the Chechen GRU, headed respectively by Ramzan Kadyrov and Sulim Yamadaev continues. We should examine the explosion which killed the head of Chechnya’s puppet regime in this context.

It is well known that after the fight with Razman Kadyrov, Sulim Yamadaev, against whom there had been a series of assassination attempts on May 3rd, just barely escaped death. Sulim Yamadaev knew perfectly well that if he didn’t take action to protect himself, sooner or later he would be killed either by Kadyrov the elder or Kadyrov the younger. Suddenly, Yamadaev had the chance to save his life. It is difficult to think of a better time and place to protect himself from Kadyrov the elder than May 9 at the stadium in Grozny.

The split between Ramzan Kadyrov and Yamadaev occurred only recently. All of this internecine conflict could be solved with one simple act. Located as they were near the Chechen puppet, Yamadaev’s people didn’t have any problem doing away with the Chechen President. It was simple for Yamadaev to kill Kadyrov with a bomb.

The conflict between the two hostile groups will increase in intensity so long as Putin stays away. The Russian president has long dreamed of a “Chechenization” of the conflict. It looks now as though he has achieved his goal, with the exception that only his pro-Moscow Chechens participate in this internal war.

The Chechen resistance can relax so long as Putin’s “gladiators” continue to kill each other. Nothing could suit the them better.
